Air Cairo Launches New Flight Route from Borg El Arab to Riyadh
Air Cairo has announced the launch of a new direct flight route connecting Borg El Arab International Airport in Alexandria to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The service will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays.
This initiative is part of the airline’s expansion plan aimed at enhancing travel between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The inaugural flight took off today, carrying approximately 180 passengers from Borg El Arab to the Saudi capital, reflecting a positive demand for travel between the two regions.
Hossam Sharif, Chairman of Air Cairo, stated that this new route aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its regional and international network, providing more direct travel options for customers, particularly those from Alexandria, the North Coast, and the Delta region to various cities in Saudi Arabia.
Sharif added that the company anticipates an increase in operational traffic on this new route in the coming period, which may lead to a gradual increase in flight frequency up to daily services based on demand and passenger volume. He emphasized that this route is a significant addition to Air Cairo’s network within the Saudi market, which is considered one of the company’s key strategic markets.
Furthermore, Sharif noted that Air Cairo continues to implement its expansion plans to enhance air connectivity between Egypt and major markets in the region. This effort contributes to supporting tourism and business activities while serving Egyptian communities abroad. The airline remains committed to delivering exceptional operational services with high standards of safety and quality.
The launch of the Borg El Arab-Riyadh route is part of Air Cairo’s ongoing efforts to expand its destination network and meet travelers’ needs, reinforcing its position as one of Egypt’s leading airlines experiencing rapid growth in regional and international markets.
