Prime Minister Begins Extensive Tour of Al-Bahira Governorate

Visit of Prime Minister to Al-Bahira.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, commenced an extensive tour of Al-Bahira Governorate on Saturday to oversee the progress of various service and development projects.

Accompanying the Prime Minister were several officials including Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment; Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of Al-Bahira; Dr. Amr Qandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population; Dr. Shady El-Mashad, Deputy Governor; and Dr. Hisham El-Lithi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, along with other officials.

Dr. Madbouly emphasized that his visit to Al-Bahira is part of a series of field tours aimed at closely monitoring the progress of various projects in each governorate. These visits are intended to enhance efforts and address challenges in order to achieve the state’s goals in improving the quality of services provided to citizens, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, and supporting economic and social development projects.

The Prime Minister noted that Al-Bahira is one of the largest governorates in the northern region, distinguished by its diverse resources and capabilities for industrial, agricultural, investment, and exploration projects. He mentioned that today’s tour would include visits to numerous service and developmental projects, as well as a follow-up on the project aimed at revitalizing the historic city of Rashid to enhance its status as a global tourist destination due to its rich archaeological sites, unique architectural style, and distinctive traditional crafts.
