Traffic Diversions on Al-Wahat Road for Three Days Due to Electrical Station Works

The General Traffic Department of Giza is implementing necessary traffic management measures to address anticipated congestion and facilitate vehicle movement during the construction of the main electrical station at Al-Wahat Road, near the Dahshour intersection.

The construction works will necessitate a complete closure of Al-Wahat Road in both directions for three days, starting Friday, June 12, 2026, and concluding Sunday, June 14, 2026. The closure will occur nightly from 2 AM to 5 AM.

Traffic diversions will include the following:.

• Vehicles coming from the tourist road towards 6 October will be directed to enter the slow lane, then turn right onto the Educational Buildings Road, followed by a left turn onto Club Degla Street until reaching the Dahshour intersection. They will then circle back to Dahshour and return to Al-Wahat Road towards 6 October after passing the construction area.
• Vehicles traveling from 6 October towards the tourist road will use the slow lane and then turn right into the newly established diversion adjacent to the work site in the same direction. They will continue for approximately 400 meters before returning to the original road after passing the construction area.

The General Traffic Department of Giza has assured that traffic services will be deployed in coordination with the executing companies. Technical assistance and guiding signs indicating ongoing works will be placed along the route to ensure public safety and maintain orderly traffic flow.
