Labor Directorates Implement Job Creation and Training Initiatives Across Provinces

In line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to provide decent job opportunities and enhance social protection for the most vulnerable groups, as well as instructions from Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad to develop the labor system and services provided to citizens, labor directorates across various provinces have continued to implement their field plans in employment, vocational training, occupational safety and health, labor relations, and labor inspections.

The directorates have carried out a range of new activities, including providing job opportunities for individuals with disabilities, organizing job fairs and awareness seminars within establishments, conducting free training courses to prepare youth for the labor market, and intensifying inspection campaigns to monitor compliance with the new Labor Law No. 14 of 2025. These efforts also aim to amicably resolve several labor disputes to ensure stability in workplaces and support a safe and productive work environment. Additionally, there has been an emphasis on enhancing cooperation with educational and training institutions to prepare qualified personnel that meet the needs of the job market. The activities included:.

  1. Delivery of Employment Contracts for Individuals with Disabilities – The Gardens of Quba Labor Office successfully provided job opportunities for several individuals with disabilities at a wood manufacturing company in Cairo. Contracts were delivered under the supervision of Mr. El-Sharkawy, Director of the Cairo Directorate of Labor.
  2. Resolution of a Labor Dispute in Qalyubia – The Qalyubia Directorate resolved a labor dispute amicably at an analysis laboratory through its Labor Relations Office in Khanka, ensuring that workers received their full legal entitlements without resorting to court.
  3. A Fire Safety Awareness Seminar in Giza – The Giza Directorate organized an awareness seminar on fire risks in workplaces at Hamco Construction Materials Company, attended by 20 workers.
  4. Completion of Mobile Phone Maintenance Training Course in Alexandria – The Alexandria Directorate concluded a month-long specialized training course in mobile phone maintenance aimed at preparing youth for employment.
  5. Listening Session with Workers in Suez – The Suez Directorate held a session to listen to collective grievances from workers in shipping and textile companies regarding wages and working conditions.
  6. Job Fair for Individuals with Disabilities in Port Said – A job fair was organized by the Port Said Directorate which resulted in 40 individuals being nominated for employment at two companies.
  7. A Legal Updates Seminar for Workers at Juhayna – A seminar was held focusing on updates regarding the new labor law attended by workers at Juhayna Food Industries.
  8. A Collective Dispute Resolution by Qalyubia’s Relations Office – The Qalyubia office successfully resolved a collective dispute involving four workers amicably.
  9. Settlement Agreements Achieved by East Nasr City Office – Several labor complaints were settled amicably by the East Nasr City Labor Relations Office.
  10. Inspection Campaigns Intensified in Port Said – Extensive inspection campaigns were conducted across private sector establishments to ensure compliance with labor laws.
