حسن رداد وزير العمل.
Hassan Radad, Egypt’s Minister of Labor, expressed appreciation for the Jordanian government’s decision to open a window for legal compliance for non-Jordanian workers from June 15, 2026, until September 30, 2026. This initiative is aimed at ensuring the welfare of Egyptian workers abroad and safeguarding their legal and professional rights.
The minister emphasized ongoing coordination with his Jordanian counterpart, Dr. Khaled Al-Bakar, to facilitate necessary procedures and protect the rights of Egyptian workers in Jordan while providing them with support and care.
In this context, the Ministry of Labor urged Egyptian workers in Jordan to take advantage of the announced grace period to regularize their legal status promptly. They advised against waiting until the last days of the deadline to avoid congestion and ensure smooth processing of their applications, thereby protecting them from any legal repercussions that may arise from not complying with regulations.
The ministry also highlighted the importance of adhering to local laws and regulations governing work in Jordan as a fundamental guarantee for preserving their legal rights and achieving professional stability.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Atta, head of the labor representation office in Jordan, noted that there is continuous coordination with relevant authorities in Jordan to provide necessary support to Egyptian workers. He urged workers to rely solely on official channels for accurate information and approved procedures to expedite their transactions and safeguard their rights.
