Arsenal Targets Nico Williams with €100 Million Bid

Written byFerdous Saeed

Arsenal has reportedly entered the race to sign Spanish winger Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao during the current summer transfer window, as the Gunners aim to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

According to British outlet Team Talk, Arsenal has identified the international player as one of its primary targets in the transfer market, following his impressive performances for both his club and national team in recent months.

The report indicates that the London club is considering a substantial financial offer that could reach €100 million, in an effort to persuade Athletic Bilbao to part with their young star during this transfer period.

This interest from Arsenal comes as the head coach seeks to enhance the team’s attacking options and add more speed and individual creativity on the flanks before the upcoming season kicks off.

Nico Williams was previously linked with a move to Barcelona; however, Athletic Bilbao has remained firm in its decision to retain the player, rejecting all attempts to secure his transfer during past windows.

Athletic Bilbao holds a strong negotiating position, especially since Williams is tied to a long-term contract that runs until the summer of 2034, giving the club significant leverage in determining the future of one of its standout players.
