Azhar Secondary Exams Underway Across Egypt Amid Tight Security

The Azhar secondary exams have commenced smoothly for students across all governorates of Egypt, conducted under strict security measures.

In North Sinai, students in the scientific section of the Azhar secondary certificate are taking their final exams today, Wednesday, in the subject of grammar, with heightened security protocols in place.

Dr. Adel El-Saies, Director General of the North Sinai Azhar Region, stated that students in the scientific section will be examined in grammar for a duration of two hours.

El-Saies also noted that this year’s total number of Azhar secondary certificate candidates is 553, including 273 students in the literary section and 280 students in the scientific section. They are distributed across six examination centers: two in Arish, two in Bir al-Abd, one in Sheikh Zuweid, and one in Central Sinai.

Mohamed Abdel Azim, General Director of Cultural Sciences and Student Care at the Azhar region, confirmed that comprehensive security has been implemented inside and outside examination centers. This includes securing question papers and answer sheets by police officers. He also announced that rest areas have been prepared with all necessary amenities to ensure complete comfort for supervisors, along with adequate ventilation within the examination halls.
