Egypt’s Interior Ministry Expedites Birth Certificate Process After Viral Video

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has addressed the circumstances surrounding a video circulating on social media. The video features a man residing in the Bireh Al-Abd area of North Sinai, alongside his eight-year-old daughter, who sought assistance in obtaining her birth certificate to enroll her in school.

Authorities promptly contacted the child’s father, directing him to the Civil Status Department in North Sinai. A birth certificate for the child was issued on-site and handed over to her father, who expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Interior for their swift action in facilitating the process.
