The meeting was attended by Ahmed Imran, Deputy Minister for Utilities, along with several ministry officials and heads of implementing agencies.

This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to monitor the execution rates of projects within the presidential initiative aimed at developing rural Egyptian villages.

At the beginning of the meeting, El-Manshawy emphasized that the Ministry of Housing places significant importance on the “Decent Life” initiative as one of Egypt’s largest development projects. The initiative aims to enhance citizens’ living standards and improve quality of life in rural areas by providing integrated essential services and modern infrastructure that contribute to sustainable development in targeted regions.

The Housing Minister stressed the necessity of continuing work according to a comprehensive plan to accelerate project execution rates while adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This ensures that citizens benefit maximally from state investments across various service and development sectors. She highlighted that regular field monitoring is essential for ensuring compliance with timelines and achieving set objectives.

The meeting reviewed a detailed report on the status of projects completed and those currently underway in villages under the “Decent Life” initiative, which includes a total of 10,315 projects across 746 villages in the first phase provinces. These projects encompass sewage systems, drinking water supply, sewage treatment plants, household connections for sewage and drinking water, and service facilities implemented by ministry-affiliated agencies.

The presentation also included execution rates for various projects, supply and installation status for necessary equipment, and progress metrics at different sites. The minister directed an increase in continuous field monitoring and accurate periodic reporting on work progress to facilitate prompt decision-making and immediate response to any challenges or obstacles affecting execution rates.

In conclusion, El-Manshawy called for intensifying work rates at project sites and removing any obstacles hindering implementation in full coordination with relevant authorities. This aims to ensure swift completion of projects so they can become operational while prioritizing those that contribute to integrated systems in drinking water, sewage services, and various other sectors. This aligns with the goals of the “Decent Life” initiative to enhance quality of life and provide a dignified and sustainable living for rural Egyptians.
