Written byNoha El Shafie

Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly announced today that the government is open to any amendments proposed by the House of Representatives regarding the Personal Status Law.

During a press conference following a cabinet meeting, Madbouly emphasized the government’s commitment to reforming the education system by introducing a baccalaureate system aimed at alleviating the pressures associated with the current secondary school system. “The baccalaureate system will provide students with opportunities without the psychological burden,” he stated.

He further noted efforts to reduce the number of secondary school examination committees to enhance control and oversight. Additionally, he clarified that the draft of the Personal Status Law is not final.
