Mexican Referees Selected for Egypt vs. Brazil Match Ahead of World Cup 2026
The organizing body for the upcoming friendly match between Egypt and Brazil has announced the selection of a Mexican officiating crew to oversee the game, scheduled for June 6 in Ohio, USA. This match is part of the preparations for both teams as they gear up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Adonai Escobedo Gonzalez will serve as the main referee, assisted by Ibrahim Martinez and Maximiliano Gomez. Malik Badawi has been appointed as the fourth official for this encounter.
Regarding the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, Carlos Rivero and Lucas Spala will supervise its implementation to monitor various officiating situations during the match.
