Dr. Morsi emphasized her commitment to holding these meetings with lawmakers to review all requests and study them to better serve citizens and ensure a dignified life for them.
During the discussion, she presented a strategic financial system aimed at economic empowerment inspired by Bangladesh’s Grameen Bank model. This initiative targets underprivileged groups capable of working by providing a comprehensive package of financial and non-financial services, in collaboration with 34 national entities, including the Nasser Social Bank. The bank has modernized its systems and linked them with Egypt Post to offer financial services through its extensive network of 4,200 branches nationwide, facilitating rapid outreach to all targeted beneficiaries across governorates.
The Minister also highlighted the ministry’s efforts regarding the foster care system for children in alternative family settings, aiming to expand this system for the best interest of children deprived of parental care.
In response, MPs expressed their gratitude to Dr. Morsi for her dedication to meeting with them and addressing their requests while directing ministry officials to expedite their responses for better citizen service.
