Awqaf Ministry Highlights the Imam’s Role in Promoting Awareness and Values

Dr. Ibrahim El-Morshedy, Director General of Religious Guidance and Advocacy at the Ministry of Awqaf, met on Tuesday with imams, preachers, and voluntary speakers from the Beni Suef Directorate of Awqaf. The meeting was attended by Dr. Said Hamid, the director of the directorate, and Sheikh Ragab Hussein, head of the departments.
During the meeting, El-Morshedy emphasized the importance of adhering to the moderate Al-Azhar approach and considering the topic of the designated Friday sermon. He stressed the need to monitor key mosques, scientific councils, and various advocacy activities to enhance the mosque’s role in disseminating enlightened moderate thought and achieving the advocacy and awareness objectives of the Ministry of Awqaf.
He also highlighted the crucial role that imams and preachers play in serving both the call to faith and society. He affirmed that an imam’s message is among the noblest missions, having a significant impact on building sound awareness and instilling ethical and national values. This requires increased effort, dedication, and commitment.
At the conclusion of the meeting, he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of imams and preachers in fulfilling their advocacy mission, praying for their success and guidance in their work to serve both religion and homeland.
