Governor of Menoufia Welcomes Minister of Awqaf for Opening of Qibli Mosque

On Friday, Governor Amr Al-Ghareeb of Menoufia received Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, the Minister of Awqaf, along with his accompanying delegation. This visit was part of the inauguration ceremony for the “Qibli Mosque” in Manshiyet Sultan, located in the city of Monuf, coinciding with the celebrations for Menoufia’s 120th National Day.

The event was attended by several dignitaries including Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Governor; Major General Alaa Eldin Al-Jaher, Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Security in Menoufia; Major General Abdullah El-Deb, Secretary General; Accountant Khaled Al-Nemr, Secretary General; and Dr. Maawad Hamad, Director of the Awqaf Directorate.

During the reception, Governor Al-Ghareeb expressed his commitment to enhancing collaborative efforts and ongoing coordination with the ministry to support its initiatives in building places of worship and promoting enlightened moderate thought. He emphasized the importance of fostering values of tolerance and belonging.

The governor also reiterated his dedication to continuous construction and comprehensive development to fulfill the aspirations and hopes of the people of Menoufia under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Minister Al-Azhari extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Al-Ghareeb and the residents of Menoufia on their National Day. He highlighted this significant occasion as a time when the people of Menoufia achieved a remarkable victory against British occupation, marking a day of pride for all Egyptians throughout history. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and acknowledged the governor’s supportive efforts for preachers and imams as well as implementing the ministry’s plans. He reaffirmed a commitment to strengthening partnership between the ministry and the province to serve citizens and achieve developmental goals.

The Friday prayers will be held under the theme “The Impact of Family Stability on Building Individuals,” with live broadcasts on Egyptian television, Quran Radio, and general programming.
