President Sisi Attends Graduation Ceremony for Third Class of Awqaf Imams

On Saturday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended the graduation ceremony for the third class of imams from the Ministry of Awqaf, named after Imam Hassan Al-Attar, held at the Elite Hall of the Egyptian Military Academy in the New Administrative Capital.

The official spokesperson for the presidency stated that upon his arrival at the academy, President El-Sisi was welcomed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, General Ashraf Salim Zahir, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Awqaf, along with several other ministers.

During the ceremony, President El-Sisi inaugurated the Elite Hall at the Egyptian Military Academy by unveiling a plaque. He received a detailed briefing about the hall from Major General Walid Aref, head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.

The event included recitations from the Quran followed by a speech from Major General Mohamed Salah Al-Turki, Director of the Egyptian Military Academy. This was succeeded by a presentation on the training status of the third class of Awqaf imams and a documentary film summarizing their research findings, along with a summary in French and a film about research approval.

The official spokesperson noted that the program also featured a poem recited by one of the oldest students. This was followed by another documentary film showcasing the success report of the class before announcing graduation results and having graduates recite their oath. The event concluded with a religious anthem performed by child artist Mohamed Al-Qalaji.

Dr. Osama Al-Azhari delivered remarks emphasizing the commitment to preparing a new generation of scientifically and physically qualified preachers. He praised President El-Sisi’s ongoing support for building a sound national character.

Afterward, President El-Sisi invited the top ten graduating students to come forward for recognition and congratulated them. He also suggested exploring further educational opportunities for them abroad through scholarships. The ceremony ended with the national anthem being played.

Before leaving, President El-Sisi conducted an inspection tour that included the main dining hall and VIP lounge at the Elite Hall in the Egyptian Military Academy.
