Egypt’s National Team Kicks Off Training in Vancouver Ahead of New Zealand Clash
The Egyptian national football team, under the guidance of the coaching duo Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan, held its first training session at Killarney Park in Vancouver as part of their preparations for the upcoming match against New Zealand in the second round of Group G at the 2026 World Cup.
All 26 players participated in the training, which is crucial for their upcoming match scheduled for 6 PM local time on June 21, which corresponds to 4 AM on June 22 in Egypt.
Ahmed Hafez was present at the training session, where he was welcomed by Hani Abou Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association and supervisor of the national team, along with Khaled El-Darandaly, Vice President of the federation and head of the delegation.
Also attending were board members Hamada El-Shorbagy and Mostafa Abu Zahra, as well as Mohamed Abu Hussein, who were there to monitor the team’s preparations ahead of this crucial World Cup encounter.
