Hossam Hassan to Discuss New Zealand Match in Press Conference Tonight

Written byFerdous Saeed

Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egyptian national football team, will hold a press conference at 3:30 PM local time in Canada (1:30 AM Sunday in Cairo) at BC Place Stadium. The conference will focus on the upcoming match against New Zealand in the second round of Group G during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As per FIFA’s established media protocol, three players from the national team—Mohamed Hani, Mostafa Ziko, and Mohamed Alaa—will participate in media interviews following the final training session at Kilarney Park at 5:30 PM local time in Canada.

BC Place Stadium will host the match between Egypt and New Zealand, with the Egyptian team aiming for their first-ever victory in World Cup history. This follows a positive performance in their opening match against Belgium, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Group G is highly competitive, as New Zealand also drew with Iran in their opening match, leaving all teams level on points. This makes the Egypt-New Zealand encounter crucial for both teams’ chances of advancing.
