Ismail Sabari Sets Record with Fastest Goal for Morocco in World Cup 2026

Moroccan forward Ismail Sabari etched his name in World Cup history by scoring against Scotland during the 2026 tournament.

Sabari gave the Atlas Lions an early lead against Scotland in their group stage match held at Gillette Stadium in Boston, USA. He found the net just one minute and 21 seconds into the game, taking advantage of a pass inside the penalty area to unleash a powerful shot from the right that found the back of the net, beating the Scottish goalkeeper.

Not only is Sabari’s goal the fastest in the current edition of the World Cup, but it also marks the quickest goal ever scored by Morocco in its World Cup history.
