Manchester City Unveils 2026-27 Premier League Fixture List

Written byFerdous Saeed

Manchester City is poised to embark on a new chapter following Pep Guardiola’s departure after a decade at the club, which concluded at the end of the 2025-26 season.

In his final year, Guardiola secured both the FA Cup and EFL Cup, although City fell short in their pursuit of the Premier League title, finishing behind Arsenal.

As Guardiola steps down, former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is expected to take over the reins at Manchester City for the upcoming season.

Maresca will be eager to make a strong start as City aims for its 11th top-flight title. Below is the full list of fixtures for Manchester City’s 2026-27 Premier League season.

Man City 2026-27 Premier League fixtures key dates

Bournemouth(August 23,H)

The season opener will be against Bournemouth, marking the first time since the 2015-16 season that Manchester City begins a campaign without Guardiola in charge. Bournemouth finished sixth last season and will pose a significant challenge under new coach Marco Rose. A victory in front of enthusiastic home fans would set an ideal tone for Maresca’s tenure.< h3Manchester United(September 12,A)

Maresca’s first Manchester derby will be crucial in establishing his rapport with City supporters. He faces a quick turnaround to prepare for this major fixture as City heads to Old Trafford, looking to improve on their previous disappointing performance in January when they lost 2-0 to their city rivals.

Chelsea(April 24,A)

The matchups against Chelsea will draw significant attention, particularly given Maresca’s history with the club. He achieved success there with a Conference League title and Club World Cup victory before parting ways in December 2025 due to tensions with management. The first encounter will occur at Etihad Stadium in December, followed by a return to Stamford Bridge in April, where fans’ reactions towards him will be closely watched.
