Cairo’s Qaha Station Upgraded to Monitor Air Pollutants and Greenhouse Gases

Dr. Iman Zahran, Head of the Air Quality Sector and Technical Implementation Unit for the first component of the cairo/">Air Pollution and Climate Change Management Project in Greater Cairo, announced the upgrade of the Qaha Station to become a comprehensive reference station for monitoring all air pollutants, greenhouse gases, and climate pollutants.
In her statements today, she noted that the station will help track and analyze severe pollution episodes originating from the Delta regions, particularly those resulting from agricultural waste burning, while accurately identifying their sources and directions.
She added that data generated from the upgraded network will support decision-making and future environmental planning, contributing to reducing the health and economic impacts of air pollution.
