Awqaf Ministry Distributes 17 Tons of Sacrifice Meat to Needy Families Across Five Governorates
Sacrifice Meat Distribution.
The Ministry of Awqaf is continuing its distribution of sacrifice meat to underprivileged families across various governorates in Egypt. Recently, five governorates—Dakahlia, Gharbia, Alexandria, Damietta, and Kafr El Sheikh—received a total of 17 tons of locally sourced meat as part of the 1447 AH sacrifice project. This initiative is overseen by Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, the Minister of Awqaf, in line with his directives to expand social protection measures.
In Dakahlia, Governor Tarek Marzouk attended the ceremony for the receipt of four tons of meat designated for underprivileged families. This event was held with representatives from relevant authorities to ensure that support reaches those in need.
Similarly, in Gharbia, Governor Dr. Alaa Abdel-Maati oversaw the acceptance of four tons of sacrifice meat alongside Sheikh Ismail Ahmed Ismail, Director of Gharbia Awqaf Directorate, and Dr. Essam Abdel Allah, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity in Gharbia.




In Alexandria, four tons of meat were received with the presence of Dr. Hala Abdel-Razek Abdel Halim, Director of the Social Solidarity Directorate; Mariam Refaat, Director of Protection Management; Heba El-Sayed Hassan, Director of Legal Affairs; and Sheikh Maher Abdel-Jawad Ibrahim, Director of Da’wah at Alexandria Awqaf Directorate. The attendees emphasized the project’s significance in supporting vulnerable groups and enhancing community solidarity.
In Damietta, two tons were delivered with notable attendees including Dr. Ali Ismail Ali Saber, Director of Da’wah at Damietta Awqaf Directorate; Sheikh Ahmed Farhat, Inspector at Damietta Directorate; Mohamed Attia Zaki El-Imam, Director of Social Solidarity; Wafaa Moharam Habib, Financial Affairs Director; and Abdel-Salam Mahmoud El-Attarbi, Legal Affairs Director. They praised the community role played by the Ministry through this sacrifice project.
Kafr El Sheikh received three tons with participation from General Mohamed Shawky Badr, Secretary General of the governorate; Khaled Abdel-Azim, Deputy Director of Social Solidarity; Dr. Ramadan Abdel-Sami’, Director at Kafr El Sheikh Awqaf Directorate; and Dr. Mohamed Awad, Administrative Manager at the directorate.
The attendees reiterated the project’s importance in assisting needy families and alleviating their burdens while commending the Ministry’s efforts in implementing the sacrifice project that has a tangible social impact in promoting solidarity and cooperation among community members.
This distribution is part of the Ministry’s strategy to ensure that sacrifice meat reaches underprivileged families across various governorates as a means to support social protection programs and reinforce community solidarity values.
