Egypt’s Prime Minister: IMF Did Not Impose State Ownership Policy Document

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, stated that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) did not impose the state ownership policy document on Egypt, emphasizing that the program with the IMF is a national initiative.
During the launch of the second edition of the state ownership policy document, Madbouly announced that the Cabinet has approved the establishment of an “Economic Entities Platform” along with related projects. This decision follows discussions regarding a presentation on the project’s current status and developments, which was prepared in coordination with relevant ministries and authorities. The initiative is part of digital transformation efforts led by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
