Prime Minister: State Ownership Policy Document Not Imposed by IMF

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, stated that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) did not impose the State Ownership Policy Document on Egypt, emphasizing that the program with the IMF is a national initiative.

During his speech at the launch of the second edition of the State Ownership Policy Document, Madbouly announced that the Cabinet has approved the establishment of an “Economic Entities Platform” along with related projects. This decision follows discussions on a presentation regarding the project’s executive status and updates, which were prepared in coordination with relevant ministries and authorities. This initiative is part of the digital transformation projects under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
