Egypt National Team Trains at Gonzaga University Ahead of New Zealand Clash in World Cup 2026

The Egypt national football team has resumed preparations for the 2026 World Cup after returning to Spokane, Washington, from Seattle, following their opening match against Belgium in Group G.

In their World Cup debut, Egypt secured a draw with Belgium, finishing the match at 1-1 on Monday evening. This result earned them their first point in the tournament.

Under the guidance of head coach Hossam Hassan, the team is set to train today at Gonzaga University in Spokane. The training session is scheduled to begin at 6 PM local time, which corresponds to 4 AM Cairo time, as part of their preparation for the upcoming match against New Zealand.

Egypt is scheduled to face New Zealand on June 22 at 4 AM Cairo time. They will conclude their group stage campaign with a match against Iran on June 27, which will kick off at 6 AM.
