Collaboration Protocol Signed Between Social Solidarity and Education Ministries to Regulate Private and International School Nurseries

Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, have signed a cooperation protocol aimed at regulating the operation of nursery classrooms for children below the age required for enrollment in kindergarten at private and international schools under the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.

The protocol seeks to establish comprehensive cooperation and coordination between the two ministries to set rules and regulations necessary for licensing and operating nursery classrooms for children below the kindergarten age in private and international schools.

In this context, the protocol outlines collaboration between the ministries in preparing organized regulations for issuing licenses to operate, monitor, and supervise these nurseries within private and international schools.

The protocol also includes the establishment of databases and information related to nurseries, whether previously licensed and operated or those that will be opened after implementing the new regulations in private and international schools. This aims to ensure necessary supervision and monitoring of these nurseries. A joint coordination committee comprising representatives from both ministries will be formed to address any obstacles that may arise during the implementation of the protocol.

Dr. Maya Morsi expressed her appreciation for the cooperation between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. She noted that her ministry would provide data and technical support to the Ministry of Education for operating nursery classrooms prior to kindergarten in private and international schools, ensuring standardized operational guidelines.

In turn, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif emphasized his ministry’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Social Solidarity in achieving unified operational standards. He also highlighted efforts to initiate procedures for issuing licenses for nursery classrooms requested in private and international schools while ensuring their proper monitoring.

The signing ceremony was attended by several officials, including Engineer Margret Saroufim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity; Dr. Ahmed Dahir, Deputy Minister of Education; Ayman Abdel Mawgood, Permanent Undersecretary at the Ministry of Social Solidarity; Randa Faris, Advisor to the Minister for Family Health and Development; Legal Advisor to the Minister of Education Ashraf El-Sayed; Hisham Mohamed, Director of the Minister’s Office; Amr Hosni, Head of the Central Unit for Associations; Hanan Mustafa, Head of Central Administration for Family Affairs; and Dr. Hanem Omar, General Director of Child Affairs.
