Prime Minister Witnesses Strategic Partnership Signing Between Nasr Automotive and China’s FAW Car

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, attended the signing ceremony of a strategic partnership between Nasr Automotive Company and China’s FAW Car Group today at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The event was also attended by Dr. Hussein Issa, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.

The agreement was signed by Engineer Mohamed El-Saadawy, Chairman and CEO of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries; Dr. Nabil Mohamed Hamad, CEO of Nasr Automotive; Liao Zhongqing, Chairman of FAW Car Group; and Yang Shaofu, Head of International Operations at FAW Car Group.

During the signing ceremony, Engineer Mohamed El-Saadawy emphasized that this strategic partnership is a culmination of discussions and coordination between both parties over recent months. He noted that it reflects mutual trust and a shared desire to build a long-term collaboration that facilitates the transfer of modern technology, increases local content ratios, and supports national efforts to revive the automotive industry while enhancing its competitiveness in local and regional markets.

Dr. Nabil Mohamed Hamad also stated that the agreement is expected to support the company’s plans to deliver high-quality products under the Nasr brand, adhering to the latest global standards. This initiative aims to meet market demands while opening new avenues for expansion and export to regional and international markets.

He highlighted that this partnership exemplifies successful cooperation between national companies and leading industrial institutions, demonstrating both parties’ commitment to contributing towards achieving industrial development goals and enhancing Egypt’s position as a regional automotive manufacturing hub.

Officials from both companies expressed their appreciation for the continuous support provided by the Egyptian government to the industrial sector. They affirmed that this partnership represents a significant step towards establishing an advanced national automotive industry reliant on modern technology and built on high standards of quality and efficiency, thereby adding value to the Egyptian economy and supporting sustainable development efforts.
