He emphasized, “They will talk about the Egyptian position in due time, whether soon or later.”.

In a special interview with journalist Samir Omar on Cairo News Channel, Rashwan highlighted a recent visit by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed at a station of the Egyptian Air Force in Abu Dhabi. He noted that this surprised many observers but refrained from discussing matters that may arise once the storm settles.

Rashwan continued, “Sometimes, some individuals exaggerate due to malice or misunderstanding. However, Egypt has supported the security of the Gulf region, which is evident from both official statements and the visits made by President El-Sisi during critical moments to Gulf nations, as well as those by the Foreign Minister. This support aligns with our full backing for all joint Arab efforts aimed at safeguarding the sovereignty and national security of Gulf countries.”.

Addressing those who might doubt Egypt’s position, he remarked, “Those who are aware are well-intentioned and share information circulating on social media. I liken social media to a flu infection; if one person sneezes in a closed room, we all catch it. However, there are others whose motives we recognize—especially given how much the Muslim Brotherhood has hurt Egyptian-Gulf relations since June 30, 2013. The shared positions between Egypt and its Gulf allies are now clear; I believe few doubt Egypt’s stance as things have become evident.”.
