Cairo Airport Successfully Concludes Hajj Season for 1447 AH

The Cairo Airport Authority has announced the successful completion of its operational plan for the Hajj season of 1447 AH (2026 AD) following the arrival of the last flights today. From May 30 to June 16, 2026, the airport welcomed a total of 65,839 pilgrims on 390 flights from Jeddah and Medina. Of these, 40,090 pilgrims arrived from Jeddah on 253 flights, while 25,749 pilgrims flew in from Medina on 137 flights.

In this context, Magdy Ishaq, Chairman of the Cairo Airport Authority, stated that this year’s Hajj season was a result of continuous coordination among all relevant authorities and teamwork aimed at serving the guests of Allah.

The authority ensured that all human and operational resources were in place to facilitate prompt processing and provide the best services to pilgrims from their arrival until their departure from the airport.

Ishaq praised the full coordination among all agencies operating at Cairo Airport and commended the performance of all personnel who contributed to this success. He emphasized ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of quality and safety that reflect Cairo International Airport’s status as Egypt’s main gateway. Ishaq also stressed the continued readiness of all operational and service sectors at the airport to ensure smooth traffic flow and offer an exceptional travel experience for all passengers.
