EgyptAir Successfully Concludes 2026 Hajj Season
EgyptAir, the national carrier of Egypt, is set to conclude the Hajj season for the year 1447 AH / 2026 AD tomorrow, Tuesday. The airline has successfully operated a substantial air bridge to transport pilgrims to and from the holy sites with high operational intensity during both travel phases.
Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, emphasized that providing services for Hajj pilgrims is a source of pride for all employees at EgyptAir. He commended the collaboration and coordination with Saudi authorities and all relevant agencies both inside and outside Egypt, which facilitated procedures and ensured the best services for the pilgrims.
Adel highlighted that EgyptAir teams have worked diligently to provide comprehensive support and care for the guests of God during their travel phases, overcoming obstacles in line with their national responsibilities. They managed high operational density efficiently while ensuring a comfortable travel experience worthy of the pilgrims. He also expressed gratitude to Saudi authorities for their significant cooperation and ongoing efforts in serving the pilgrims, which greatly contributed to smooth and orderly operational processes.






The travel phase to the holy sites commenced on May 3 and continued until May 21, while return flights began on May 30 and will conclude tomorrow, June 16, 2026.
EgyptAir successfully transported nearly 63,000 pilgrims to and from Jeddah and Medina through a total of 295 flights. This included pilgrims from various categories such as lottery, solidarity, endowments, interior ministry, tourism sectors, as well as transit passengers and foreign individuals. Special flights were also operated for Palestinian pilgrims and those from Mali and Guinea Conakry.
Additionally, Captain Mohamed Alyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, participated in the concluding ceremony held in Jeddah marking the end of the Hajj season. During the event, he expressed his sincere appreciation to Saudi authorities for their fruitful cooperation and significant role in ensuring a successful season. He also praised the outstanding performance of all EgyptAir teams and the official delegation led by Amin Afifi, Assistant President of Commercial Affairs for Stations, which included a selection of specialized personnel dedicated to serving pilgrims in Jeddah and Medina.
