Egypt Begins Disbursing Cash Support to 4.7 Million Families Under ‘Takaful and Karama’ Program

Dr. Maya Morsi, the Minister of Social Solidarity, announced that cash support for June under the “Takaful and Karama” program will be disbursed today, June 15, to 4.7 million families, totaling over 4 billion Egyptian pounds.

Beneficiaries began accessing their funds early this morning through ATMs available across the country. They can also utilize electronic payment methods for all government transactions and purchases.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity is closely monitoring the disbursement process of the Takaful and Karama program, coordinating with directors of social solidarity directorates to ensure smooth operations.

It is noteworthy that cash support is provided to 4.7 million families classified as most in need, comprising approximately 17 million citizens, with an annual budget allocation of 54 billion Egyptian pounds.
