Ramzy Rabia: Egypt Ready for Belgium Clash with Mohamed Salah Leading the Charge

Ramzy Rabia, defender for the Egyptian national team, expressed confidence in the Pharaohs’ readiness for the 2026 World Cup. He emphasized that the players underwent a rigorous preparation period that has equipped the team well ahead of their opening match.

Egypt is set to face Belgium on Monday evening in their debut group stage match of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to kick off at 10 PM Cairo and Saudi time.

The Egyptian team is placed in Group G alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand, a group that appears competitive with an anticipated battle for the two qualification spots for the next round.

In statements to the media center of the Egyptian Football Association, Rabia said, “The players are focusing intensely on this stage. There is a strong desire from everyone to deliver their best performance possible.”.

He added, “We understand the magnitude of responsibility on our shoulders and enter the tournament with great ambition to achieve victories and progress as far as possible.”.

Rabia concluded his remarks by stating, “The Egyptian national team features outstanding players with significant experience led by Mohamed Salah. We also appreciate the continuous support from our fans, which gives us extra motivation in every match.”.
