President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will participate in the G7 Summit, which will take place from June 15 to 17, 2026, in Évian, France. The summit will be hosted under the French presidency of the group.

The event will see the participation of heads of state and government from G7 member countries, alongside invited partner nations, including Egypt. Additionally, attendees will include the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission, as well as leaders from various international and regional organizations.

According to Ambassador Mohamed Shenaoui, spokesperson for the Presidency, discussions at the summit will focus on several key issues. These include enhancing global economic growth, addressing geopolitical crises and their impact on trade, energy, and supply chains, accelerating progress towards sustainable development goals, and fostering international cooperation in digitalization and artificial intelligence.

This marks Egypt’s second participation in a G7 Summit; the first was during the meeting held in Biarritz, France in August 2019 when Egypt held the presidency of the African Union.

The spokesperson highlighted that Egypt’s involvement underscores its pivotal role in promoting development and stability in the Middle East. Furthermore, President Sisi is expected to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit with several leaders, including a key meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
