Egypt’s Health Ministry Receives 7,324 Calls via Hotline 105 in April 2026

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that it received 7,324 calls through its hotline “105” during April 2026. This initiative is supervised by the General Administration for Citizen Services and aims to provide health information, respond to inquiries, and enhance direct communication with the public.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, noted that the operational data revealed a variety of services offered. Inquiries and requests topped the list with 2,891 calls, accounting for 39.47% of total calls. This was followed by treatment cases and complaints against health facilities with 804 calls (10.98%), inquiries related to health promotion and prevention with 700 calls (9.56%), and integrated service card services with 462 calls (6.31%).

The spokesperson emphasized that these performance indicators reflect the ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve communication with citizens and respond swiftly to their needs, thereby enhancing the quality of health services and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Hassan Madyan, Director General of the General Administration for Citizen Services at the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the administration continuously monitors citizen satisfaction through hotline “105.” A random sample was contacted in April 2026, revealing a satisfaction rate of 95%.

He confirmed that the administration will continue implementing monitoring and periodic evaluation mechanisms to identify citizen needs and suggestions, ensuring an improvement in citizen service systems and enhancing communication efficiency.
