Dr. Maya Morsi Highlights ‘Start 2026’ as Key Platform for Youth Employment Opportunities
Dr. Maya Morsi, the Minister of Social Solidarity, convened a meeting with the team managing the Social Solidarity Units project at universities to discuss final preparations for the “Start 2026” event, scheduled for June 19 at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
During the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Al-Aqbi, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity and supervisor of the university units project, presented a comprehensive update on the event’s execution status. This included organizational and technical aspects, progress rates for various event areas, participant reception protocols, and operational plans for associated activities.
The minister was briefed on registration numbers via the Start online platform and reviewed the overall layout of the event within the museum grounds. A designated area will host training and employment opportunities featuring 250 companies, alongside a career guidance section with over 70 career advisors. Additionally, there will be workshops and an experience-sharing area with a large stage for experts, entrepreneurs, government representatives, and private sector members. Sponsors supporting this initiative are covering event costs.
Dr. Morsi received detailed explanations from Dr. Ezz El-Din Farag and Omar Al-Barbarri, representatives from OBM Company—the organization executing the Start Summit—regarding logistics and technical details for the day-long event, as well as information on speakers and distinguished guests.
The Minister emphasized that “Start 2026” serves as a vital national platform connecting youth and students with training pathways and employment opportunities aimed at economic empowerment. She stressed the importance of completing all arrangements to meet high organizational and technical standards to ensure an exceptional experience for participants while achieving the event’s intended goals.
Dr. Morsi also praised the fruitful collaboration with the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority for their support in facilitating the event’s success. She acknowledged cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research along with project partners, asserting that “Start 2026” exemplifies a model of integration between state institutions, private sectors, and developmental partners in supporting youth empowerment.

The “Start 2026” initiative aligns with the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s efforts to enhance youth readiness for the labor market by providing a comprehensive platform that integrates training, guidance, and direct engagement with partner companies and organizations. This aims to expand economic integration opportunities and foster a more sustainable professional future for Egyptian youth.
