Egypt’s Electricity Minister Outlines Presidential Directive for 45% Renewable Energy Contribution

Dr. Mahmoud Asmat, Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, announced that reducing fossil fuel usage and expanding the reliance on clean energy is a direct mandate from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He emphasized that the ministry is collaborating with various state institutions and partners from both local and foreign private sectors to achieve the objectives of the national energy strategy.
