EgyptAir Explores Collaboration Opportunities at IATA General Assembly

Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EgyptAir Holding Company, engaged in several bilateral meetings with representatives from various airlines during the 82nd General Assembly of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was accompanied by Rabab Hamdi, Head of Alliances and International Relations at EgyptAir Holding.
During the meetings, he discussed collaboration opportunities with executives from Etihad Airways, Riyadh Airlines, JetBlue, and United Airlines. The discussions focused on current and future cooperation avenues and the potential for establishing new partnerships that align with EgyptAir’s strategy for international expansion and opening new markets and destinations that meet customer needs while supporting air transport growth amid global efforts to revitalize air travel.
Captain Adel also addressed the current challenges facing the air transport industry as well as future growth opportunities both regionally and internationally. He emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation among airlines across various sectors to capitalize on available opportunities and ensure sustainability within the industry.
At the conclusion of these meetings, Captain Ahmed Adel stated that strengthening collaboration and strategic partnerships among airlines is crucial for achieving growth in the air transport sector and finding new markets for the diverse services offered by EgyptAir.
Additionally, Captain Ahmed Adel participated in a meeting of the Chief Executive Officers Council of the Star Alliance, where airline leaders discussed updates on joint strategic projects within the alliance and ways to enhance integration and cooperation among members. This aims to improve customer experience and increase service efficiency for travelers across the global alliance network.
