Egyptian National Team Conducts Session on New Refereeing Rules Ahead of World Cup 2026

The coaching staff of Egypt’s national football team, led by Hossam Hassan, held a dedicated session with players to explain the key changes and updates to refereeing laws in preparation for their application at the 2026 World Cup.

This initiative is part of the final preparations for the Pharaohs before they embark on their journey in the tournament. The coaching team emphasized the importance of familiarizing players with the new rules to avoid any mistakes that could impact their performance on the field.

Egypt will kick off its World Cup campaign with a challenging match against Belgium, scheduled for June 15, in the opening round of the group stage.

The Egyptian team is placed in Group G of this year’s World Cup, alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand. This tournament will mark a historic moment as it features 48 teams competing across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
