Digital Egypt Platform Achieves 25 Million Transactions in Government Services

The Media Center of the Cabinet has released a series of infographics on its social media platforms, highlighting the government’s efforts to enhance and support the digital transformation system, a key pillar in building the new republic.

In this context, the “Digital Egypt” platform stands out as a primary tool for implementing this initiative, providing services through a single digital platform and simplifying access procedures to facilitate citizen engagement and enhance operational efficiency within government agencies.

These efforts have resulted in significant advancements in service automation and administrative system development, along with improvements in Egypt’s ranking across several international indicators related to digital transformation and technological readiness. This progress bolsters national economic competitiveness and increases trust in the digital framework.

According to the infographics, transactions executed through the “Digital Egypt” platform more than doubled, exceeding 25 million transactions and inquiries in 2025, compared to 7.8 million transactions and inquiries in 2024.

The number of platform users also rose by 32.1%, reaching 10.7 million users in 2025, up from 8.1 million users in 2024. Additionally, the number of government services offered by the platform increased by 23.5%, totaling 210 services in 2025 compared to 170 services in 2024.

The digital transformation efforts also included offering 73 exclusive services through the platform and other digital channels, including services from the Public Prosecution, Traffic Prosecution, documentation, courts, commercial registration, supply chains, and housing. Furthermore, the first phase of services for Egyptians abroad was launched on the platform, which included issuing four types of documents.

On an international scale, Egypt advanced by 13 positions in the Government AI Readiness Index published by Oxford Insights, ranking at 52nd place in 2025 compared to 65th place in 2024. Notably, Egypt ranks first among African countries in this index. Additionally, it climbed ten spots in the Electronic Government Services Index released by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), reaching 77th place in 2025 from its previous position at 87th place in 2024.

In terms of Digital Government Maturity Index published by the World Bank, Egypt moved up by an impressive 47 positions to rank at number 22 in 2025 from its previous position at number 69 in 2022. Egypt is now categorized among leading countries in digital government within Category A, which is the highest classification on this index.
