Egypt’s National Team Prepares for World Cup Match Against Belgium

The Egyptian national football team, under the guidance of head coach Hossam Hassan, continues its training in Spokane, USA, as they prepare to face Belgium in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup.

The match is scheduled for June 15, as part of the first round of group stage competition in the tournament hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Egypt finds itself in a challenging group alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand, making their start in the tournament all the more crucial.

The training session took place at Gonzaga University’s stadium and attracted a notable crowd of local residents and members of the Egyptian community. FIFA has allowed fans to attend one training session for each team before their matches.

The practice began with physical exercises before shifting to tactical drills, concluding with a scrimmage among players and shooting practice on goal.

Following the training, the coaching staff and players took time to greet fans and take commemorative photos, creating a positive atmosphere that reflects the team’s morale.

Also present at the session were Khaled El Darandly, Vice President of the Egyptian Football Association and head of the national team delegation in America, along with Hamada Al Sharibini, a board member of the association, showing support for the team ahead of their anticipated clash.
