Zamalek Football Club Faces 17th Registration Ban Due to Player Debt

Written byFerdous Saeed

A source within Zamalek Football Club has revealed the reason behind the team’s 17th registration ban, which was issued by FIFA on Wednesday.

The source, speaking exclusively to Al-Aweek, stated that the ban is due to overdue payments owed to player Omar Farag, amounting to $1.7 million.

On Tuesday evening, Zamalek received a positive development regarding its international legal issues, as FIFA announced a reduction in the number of registration bans against the club from 17 to 16 after resolving one pending complaint.

The case involving Cameroonian player Andre Bikey, who served as an assistant to former head coach José Gomes, was removed from the list of cases against Zamalek after his outstanding financial dues were fully settled.
