Over 2 Million Students Take Intermediate Certificate Exams Today

Today, Wednesday, the examination committees for the Intermediate Certificate across the governorates of Egypt for the academic year (2025/2026) have commenced. Students are attending their exams under strict adherence to the regulations and procedures governing the examination process, with a total of 2,028,987 students participating nationwide.

In North Sinai, students are taking their final exams for the second semester in Science today, lasting two hours. Hamza Radwan, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in North Sinai, reported that a total of 10,030 students are distributed across 95 examination committees that include 597 sub-committees in various educational administrations throughout North Sinai. He noted that the examination committees have been prepared and equipped with essential facilities to ensure a calm and safe testing environment for the Intermediate Certificate students.

Additionally, a main operations room has been established at the Directorate’s headquarters in Arish, along with sub-operational rooms in educational administrations to monitor the exam process and resolve any issues. Radwan confirmed that no reports or complaints have been received since the exams began.

In Gharbia Governorate, Nasser Hassan, Undersecretary of Education in the province, confirmed that the Intermediate Certificate exams began today with full compliance and organization across all ten educational administrations. He stated that there are 94,696 general intermediate certificate students taking their exams in 421 committees across the governorate, alongside 5,315 vocational intermediate certificate students in 38 committees. All necessary measures have been taken to create a suitable atmosphere while ensuring that all procedures are followed to allow students to take their exams in a peaceful environment.
