Cairo Governor Inspects Preparations for Intermediate Certificate Exams

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, the Governor of Cairo, visited Al-Tabari Preparatory School in Heliopolis to oversee the commencement of the second semester exams for the Intermediate Certificate for the academic year 2025-2026.

A total of 214,367 students are participating in the exams across Cairo, including general, vocational, sports, visually impaired, hearing impaired, and international streams. This includes 213,136 students in the general preparatory track, 1,029 in vocational education, 100 in sports education, 60 hearing-impaired students, and 42 visually impaired students. The exams are being conducted in 746 committees.

Accompanying the governor during his visit were Mona Al-Batrawi, Deputy Governor for Eastern Cairo, Dr. Hamat Abu Keila, Director of the Education Directorate, and several other officials from the governorate.

During his inspection, Governor Saber noted that all exam committees in Cairo commenced without any obstacles or complaints. Today’s exam is focused on Arabic language. He emphasized that all necessary measures have been implemented to ensure student safety and that schools are prepared and disinfected daily before exams. A doctor and a health visitor are present at each committee.

The governor also engaged with several parents to reassure them that the government is taking all necessary steps to provide a conducive environment for students during their examinations.

Moreover, he urged district heads to ensure cleanliness around schools where exams are being held and to remove any obstructions nearby.
