On Tuesday, a phone call took place between Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. This conversation was part of the ongoing consultations between the two brotherly nations regarding regional developments and mutual areas of interest.
The ministers discussed ways to enhance Egyptian-UAE cooperation across various fields, reaffirming their commitment to building on the solid strategic partnership and close coordination that reflect the deep brotherly ties and shared interests between the two countries.
During the call, they exchanged views on key regional developments, particularly focusing on the Iranian crisis. They examined the trajectory of US-Iran negotiations and efforts aimed at reaching an agreement while working to de-escalate tensions and promote security and stability in the region.
Additionally, they reviewed updates on the Palestinian issue and efforts to implement President Trump’s peace plan. The conversation also included discussions on developments in Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of supporting Lebanese state institutions to maintain security and stability in the country.
The ministers further addressed the situation in Sudan, discussing efforts by a quartet aimed at supporting initiatives that seek to achieve stability and enhance political resolution opportunities.
Both ministers agreed to continue close consultations and coordination between their countries on various regional issues, contributing to regional security, stability, and mutual interests.
