Boxing enthusiasts are gearing up for an exciting showdown at the VTB Arena in Moscow on July 11, where Russian fighter Artem Soslenkov will face British heavyweight Joe “Juggernaut” Joyce in the IBA PRO 19 event, sanctioned by the International Boxing Association. The event will also feature a title match between world heavyweight champion Murad Gassiev and French contender Tony Yoka.

Soslenkov enters this bout with an impressive record of 14 wins, including 9 by knockout, and is coming off a successful title defense of the WBA Continental championship against German Arthur Mann in April during the IBA PRO 16 event held in Serpukhov, Russia.

This victory has propelled the Russian boxer into the top ten of the World Boxing Association’s heavyweight rankings, where he currently holds the ninth position. He is also recognized as the IBF Europe champion.

Soslenkov remarked that facing Joyce represents a significant challenge against one of the top names in heavyweight boxing, acknowledging that his opponent’s experience and physical strength require special preparation for this fight.

He added that competing in front of his home crowd in Moscow provides him with extra motivation to deliver his best performance and achieve an important milestone in his professional career. He emphasized that being part of a card headlined by Gassiev and Yoka presents an opportunity to showcase his abilities at the highest level.

On the other hand, Joyce, with a record of 16 wins and 4 losses, including 15 knockouts, is eager to reclaim his position among elite heavyweights after suffering a defeat in his last match against Croatian Filip Hrgovic for the international boxing organization’s title.

Joyce has a strong history of notable victories, including wins over British boxer Daniel Dubois and New Zealander Joseph Parker, establishing himself as one of the prominent names in heavyweight boxing in recent years.

He confirmed his full readiness to return to the ring after an intensive training period and expressed his excitement about fighting in Moscow while competing for the WBA Continental heavyweight title.

The IBA PRO 19 event promises several significant bouts, highlighted by Murad Gassiev’s first defense of his WBA heavyweight title against Tony Yoka, marking one of this year’s most anticipated boxing evenings.
