Mido Advocates for Continued Leadership of Moataz Gamal at Zamalek

Ahmed Hossam Mido has expressed strong support for Moataz Gamal to remain as the head coach of Zamalek following the significant success he achieved with the team. Mido emphasized that the announcement of Gamal’s contract renewal should have been made immediately after securing the league title.

During his program “Here is the World Cup,” Mido stated, “It was essential to announce the renewal of Moataz Gamal’s contract for three years after Zamalek won the league, as he accomplished a remarkable achievement with the team.”.

He added, “Our problem at Zamalek is that we do not nurture our young talents, despite having capable individuals who deserve support and trust. Moataz Gamal is one of those coaches who have proven their abilities.”.

Mido also revealed that there are discussions within Zamalek to hire a foreign coach in the near future, cautioning, “There are trends within Zamalek to recruit a foreign manager, and I believe that would be a significant mistake by the board.”.
