WHO Assesses Low Risk of Ebola Virus Spread to Egypt

The Egyptian Cabinet’s Media Center has highlighted the World Health Organization’s (WHO) assessment regarding the low probability of the Ebola virus spreading to Egypt.

In an infographic shared on the official page of the Cabinet, the Media Center noted WHO’s commendation of Egypt’s robust epidemiological surveillance system and the preparedness of response teams to manage any emergency cases, especially in light of the ongoing global challenges posed by Ebola.

Furthermore, the Cabinet’s Media Center emphasized that the WHO has confirmed that Egypt possesses a high-efficiency epidemiological surveillance system capable of swiftly detecting any suspected cases. This is complemented by trained response teams and clear protocols for managing infectious diseases and preventing their spread.
