Egypt Showcases Healthcare Security Efforts at Cybersecurity Conference
Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition.
The Ministry of Health and Population participated in the fifth edition of Egypt’s premier cybersecurity conference, “CAISEC,” held on June 8 and 9, 2026, under the theme “Protecting the Future: Securing the Unpredictable.” The event was sponsored by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s official spokesperson, emphasized that the conference received support from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and was backed by the ministries of Finance, Health, Transport, Higher Education, and Military Production. It also featured strategic partnerships with the Arab League, the Arab Organization for Communications and Information Technology, Smart Africa, and the African Network of Cybersecurity Institutions (ANCA).
The event included its first roundtable discussion with representatives from 22 countries aimed at enhancing cybersecurity cooperation and supporting digital sovereignty. This session saw extensive participation from international experts and global regulatory bodies.
The conference aims to address the latest challenges in cybersecurity protection, artificial intelligence security, and post-quantum encryption while focusing on securing vital sectors, particularly healthcare. It provides an exceptional platform for building international partnerships and showcasing cutting-edge security technologies and solutions.
