Egypt’s Foreign Minister Affirms Support for US-Iran Negotiations in Call with French Counterpart

Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Atti, engaged in a phone call with his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, as part of ongoing consultations between the two friendly nations. The discussion focused on exchanging views regarding regional developments and strategies to de-escalate tensions in the area.

During the call, Minister Abdel Atti highlighted Egypt’s intensive efforts to manage regional escalations, reaffirming Egypt’s support for the diplomatic negotiations between the United States and Iran. He emphasized the importance of easing tensions and enhancing opportunities for reaching diplomatic solutions to the crisis.

The conversation also included an exchange of perspectives on the latest developments in Gaza and Lebanon. Both ministers agreed to continue close coordination and consultation within the framework of the strategic relations between Egypt and France, aiming for collaborative efforts to reduce tensions and promote security and stability in the region.
