Giza Governor Inspects Sewage Pumping Station Project in Abu Nomros

Dr. Ahmed El-Ansary, the Governor of Giza, recently inspected the sewage pumping station project in Beni Youssef village, located in the Abu Nomros district. This visit aimed to assess the project’s execution rates and progress as part of ongoing oversight of service and development projects in the governorate.

During his inspection, the governor received a detailed briefing from the executing agencies regarding the project’s status and completion percentages. The pumping station has a design capacity of 6,500 cubic meters per day and includes the construction of a sewage network spanning 3 kilometers to serve the targeted area.

El-Ansary emphasized the need to accelerate work rates and expedite the completion of household connections, urging adherence to scheduled timelines for bringing the project into service, ensuring that residents benefit as soon as possible.

Giza Governor's Visit

The governor also met with several residents from Abu Muslim and Beni Youssef villages to understand their needs and demands regarding infrastructure projects and sports activities. He instructed the head of Abu Nomros center to hold a public meeting with residents and prepare a detailed report outlining these needs for consideration in future development plans.

Dr. El-Ansary reiterated that the governorate places significant emphasis on sewage and infrastructure projects due to their direct impact on enhancing service delivery and improving quality of life in rural areas. He stressed the importance of adhering to high technical specifications and quality standards throughout all execution phases.

The governor was accompanied during his tour by Ibrahim El-Shahaby, Deputy Governor; Mohamed Marai, Assistant Secretary General; Wael Shaaban, Head of Central Administration for Governor’s Office Affairs; Mahmoud Zein, Head of Abu Nomros Center; Mohamed Hosni, Head of Inspection and Follow-up Authority; along with representatives from the executive authority and water supply and sewage company.
