Written byFerdous Saeed

German media reports indicate that English international Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United, has emerged as a target for Bayern Munich during the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to the German newspaper BILD, the Bavarian club’s management is considering a move for Rashford to strengthen their attacking lineup, following a recommendation from Belgian head coach Vincent Kompany. Kompany believes that Rashford possesses significant technical skills and can play in multiple attacking positions.

Rashford is known for his ability to excel as a left winger as well as a central striker, making him a fitting option for Bayern’s plans in the upcoming season, especially as the team looks to enhance its offensive strength before the new competitions begin.

Recent reports have suggested that Barcelona is reconsidering activating their option to purchase Rashford permanently from Manchester United, particularly after successfully signing English player Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is open to selling Rashford during the summer transfer market, especially given his recent exclusion from the team’s core plans. The asking price for the player is estimated at around €30 million.

Marcus Rashford is under contract with Manchester United until the summer of 2028, providing the English club with flexibility in negotiations with interested teams in the near future.
